TAAI 2012 Preface

The 2012 Conference on Technologies and Applications of Artificial Intelligence (TAAI 2012) is the 17th annual conference hosted by the Taiwanese Association for Artificial Intelligence (TAAI) and National Cheng-Kung University. The TAAI conference is one of the most important annual academic meetings on artificial intelligence in Taiwan. The conference will be held in Tainan, Taiwan, November 16??18, 2012. The purpose of this conference is to bring together scientists, researchers, and practitioners in different disciplines to present and exchange ideas, results, and experiences in the area of AI technologies and applications. In TAAI 2012, we are grateful to have two workshops and three tracks, including the International Workshop on Computer Games (IWCG 2012), the International Workshop on Theory and Applications of Evolutionary Algorithms (TAEA 2012), and an international track, domestic track, and demonstration track. We received a total of 91 submissions from Belgium, China, France, Japan, Taiwan, United States, and Vietnam. Each submission was peer-reviewed by at least three professionals. Due to page limits, we are regretful that only 60 papers could be recommended by the Program Committee for publication by IEEE CS CPS.
