Abstract :
Different control strategies have been released to solve the problems and improve the performance of hybrid electric vehicles. Energy storage power management is one of the most important parameters which affects on control strategy and other parts of a hybrid vehicle. In this paper a battery-ultracapacitor energy storage system and its control strategy based on minimizing the fuel consumption and operating the engine in efficient region has been developed. The simulation results prove this fact that ultracapacitors can be trustable secondary energy storage and increase the overall performance of system.
