Abstract :
In this paper, we are concerned with an adaptive interface which controls a mental task according to the changes of human mental condition. Many studies in the field of physiology indicate that the physiological indices extracted from electroencephalogram (EEG), electrocardiogram (EGG) and skin potential response reflect human mental condition related to the comfort aspect. The system measures and analyzes such physiological indices of the user provoked by an audio-visual mental task presented on a display. Then, it deduces the level of concentration and emotional tension of the user, based on the extracted special features of physiological indices. Finally, it decides the control parameters of the task to give an adequate satisfaction and relaxation to the user. The prototype system was developed, and it is confirmed that the system can run in real-time and has user adaptability
