Abstract :
Current conveyors have been used as a basic building block in a variety of electronic circuit in instrumentation and communication systems. Today they replace the conventional opamp in so many applications such as active filters, analog signal processing, and A/D, D/A converters. In this work, the advantages and disadvantages of current conveyors are outlined and analyzed. A simple positive CMOS second generation current conveyor (CCII+) is introduced and analyzed. Simulation results using SPICE with standard 1.2 μm technology are also presented
