Based on data of listed Tourism enterprises´ in China, the focus of this study is the impact TMT demographic characteristics on institutional investors´ stockholding. Key findings are: (1) institutional investors were willing to hold listed tourism companies shares with lower TMT average age and higher average education level; (2) TMT average tenure and occupational background heterogeneity had a significant impact on IIS.
