Abstract :
In applications that demand high power consumption, there is a trend to use several standard DC/DC power converters working in parallel. The goal of this work is to develop a fault detecting scheme for every individual module in such parallel system. Together with the fault detecting scheme, a control circuit is used in order to achieve a proper response of the system in the presence of faults. To evaluate the behavior of the fault detection scheme, simulation and laboratory tests were made with one single buck power converter. Experimental results are given that validate the scheme
