Abstract :
The properties of a Short Pulse Ground Penetrating Radar (SP-GPR) antenna near lossy media is study in this paper. The radiating properties of a linear dipole antenna loaded by lumped elements near ground surface are calculated by Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FD-TD) method. The field pattern of the antenna and pulse radiated by it in various direction are given, respectively. The current waveforms on the antenna and the field pattern are also calculated as the parameters of lossy medium, the lumped load elements and the height of the antenna are changed
