Abstract :
The application of hierarchical fuzzy controllers to multi-variables system solves the "dimension disaster" problem of multi-variables, which is presented in the paper. The rule base of each fuzzy controller is generated from decoupling multi-variables and based on the human knowledge, not designed after exact mathematic modeling of the plant, so that the application of this method could be extensive and comprehensive. Considering cart and pole system as the plant, the characteristic of the strategy mentioned above can get from the simulation result (especially the result compared it to the linear controller shows its advantage). The successful application to other multi-variables system also shows its power
