Abstract :
System identification based active noise cancellation techniques, proposed long ago as a promising alternative to LMS adaptive filtering techniques, have received very little attention from researchers. This paper attempts to draw fresh attention to them. A system identification strategy to simultaneously modeling the primary path as well as the control path is presented. The direct adaptive control method is used to generate the control output. Simulation results based on both synthetic and physical duct models are presented
