Abstract :
The issues involved in defining an interface between service creation and the service logic execution environment in an intelligent network are discussed focusing on the features needed for service logic program (SLP) portability among a variety of network systems. The objective of service program portability in the intelligent network is the specification of service concepts by designated software development organizations (which may or may not be part of the telephone company providing the services) and the realization of those concepts in network elements provided by other vendors. A model to facilitate programming in a multivendor environment is described
