Abstract
The increasing use of mobile communication units have been claimed about human harmfulness or harmlessness. In this paper, to perform a microdosimetric analysis for the RF exposure in the important organs of the head, we made high-resolution Korean models for eye and ear. Numerical phantom models of these organs were developed at a spatial resolution of 0.1 mm. After inserting these models into the Korean head phantom model, we performed the simulation in the frequency of 850 [MHz], 1750 [MHz] and 1950 [MHz]. According to the simulation results, it seems unlikely that the RF energy absorbed by a mobile phone can cause a biologically significant effect in the inner ear.
