Cost effective Document Repository Management

The paper describes Web enabled cost effective innovative means to build, customise and sustain development of document repositories based digital library for knowledge resource sharing, competence & intellect building. We propose a framework model of document repository implementation and related application based on open source software. Implementation of the model on organisation´s Intranet while providing security for ethical use provides better and efficient management of the repository. Further, this leads to innovative enabling means of facilitation of knowledge management in form of sharing technical documents, reports, notices, process assets and work within the organisation. Such an operational test prototype implementation of our work provides a strong basis that our model and strategy can serve good return in providing easy document repositories based digital library and related knowledgebase, which are desired by organisations for effective project management, execution and implementation.
