            Abstract :
Conventional logic gates are not reversible. A reversible logic gate has the same number of inputs and outputs with one-to-one correspondence between the input and the output. Hybrid new gate (HNG) is an universal reversible gate and realizes all Boolean functions. This paper proposes a novel scheme of HNG gate realization in all-optical domain. Semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) based Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) being is an efficient for ultra fast all-optical signal processing is used in this work. Simulation results verify the functionality of the gate as well as reversibility.
