Abstract
Even in the last years has been recorded an important growth in the number of developed Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) applications, the testing methodologies for this type of applications hasn´t changed much. In this paper we present a WSN software testing framework architecture. Due to the constraints and special features of the WSN technology, the applications require a different testing approach. We propose a testing framework for this type of applications, combining test driven development, unit testing, and remote integration testing. The usage of this framework makes possible the development of specific testing applications for the base station node and executing manual or automatic remote testing accordingly.
