Abstract :
The author explains why the British army is having to rethink the way it communicates and describes the essence of its future communications needs and how it intends achieving them. The concept of the electronic battle is discussed, and a new management strategy is outlined. A communications architecture for an Army-wide inter-network service is presented, and new standards are discussed
