Abstract :
A low-voltage, broadband feedforward-linearized bipolar mixer realizes an input IP3 of +17dBm at 5.8GHz, while drawing 6mA from a 2.2V supply. Measured conversion (power) gain is -3.7dB, SSB(50Ω) noise figure is 18.6dB, with an input impedance of 57.4-j16.6Ω at 5.8GHz. Conversion gain drops by 0.8dB when operating at 1.25V, but IIP3 remains unchanged. Between 4-6GHz, the conversion gain varies by 1.6dB with a 2.2V supply.
