Abstract :
This paper proposes a Borda count based approach to combine the complimentary edge information present in spatial domain and Fourier domain representation of image for face recognition. The edges in spatial domain are captured using analytic phase based representation. The phase of Fourier transform is used to represent the edge information of image in Fourier domain. The experimental results show that performance of the proposed approach is better then the several existing approaches, as well as from the performances obtained using either analytic phase image or phase of the Fourier transform.
