Abstract :
A current source inverter (CSI) drive with high frequency pulse width modulation (PWM), which can be controlled up to twice the nominal speed, has been developed. These new PWM CSI-drives suffer from self excitation in the range of high speed. The controller developed avoids self excitation and controls flux and speed. For the fulfilment of this task, a state controller with a reduced observer is used. Simulation and good practical results of the investigations are shown
