  • Abstract
This paper puts forward a control algorithm based on the improved conductance increment method according to the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of photovoltaic cells, because the traditional one fails to strike a balance well between photovoltaic system´s efficiency and accuracy. It employs a less variable step length in the vicinity of the maximum power point (MPP), and proper duty ratio is used to swiftly adjust voltage away from MPP. Besides, a simulation model of the photovoltaic system is established through Matlab/Simulink, and the results show that the strategy is both responsive and stable.
