Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. A new finding is the perception of an illusory solid object in binocular fusion. From the visual stimuli of disparity given only partially along the contour of an object, the human visual system can perceive a solid object with a curved surface where there are no visual stimuli to get depth information. These newly discovered illusory phenomena are closely related to the visual functions of 3-D space perception and present a new subject of study, not only in psychophysics and neurophysiology, but also in the field of artificial neural network research
