Abstract :
Cochlear implant (CI) is a very effective option for those people who suffer deep hearing loss. But to perform CI operation would come through a very complicated procedure. Many thorough evaluations or examinations need to be carried out before surgical operation, and a follow-up program needs to be fully committed by the CI recipients. We previously designed a database application software to manage CI patients´ data. This software currently is in use at Beijing Otolaryngology Institute. In this paper, we propose a wireless network scheme for our software, and discuss the requirements from a wireless technology user´s angle of view. Our goal is to enhance work efficiency, to provide better services to our patients and the CI candidates.
