Abstract :
The authors outline mechanisms by which computing equipment acts as a source of electromagnetic (EM) emissions containing information conducted away from the source through various paths (conductive or radiative or both). A brief summary is given of a receiver to display the information that has radiated away from the source. The receiver is constructed using only commercial components. The device is sensitive enough to intercept radiated signals as much as 50 m from the source
