Abstract
The electric furnace is a multivariable nonlinear industrial complex plant. It is very hard to give the exact mathematical model and to confirm parameters. In this paper, the adaptive fuzzy control is applied into the temperature control of the electric furnace to avoid the influence of the inaccuracy of model. In order to improve the limitation of the traditional fuzzy control, the fuzzy algorithm is used to online tune the three parameters of the traditional fuzzy control system. Simulation experiment of the system applying the classic PID, traditional fuzzy control and the adaptive fuzzy control has been done. Simulation results show that system adopted adaptive fuzzy control has shorter settling time, smaller overshoot, faster rise time, good capacity of anti-disturbance and comparatively strong robustness.
