Abstract :
We mathematically analyze a recently proposed curvature correction method that is based on signal processing and does not require physical measurements of the object´s shape. Based on new insights, we present a new scheme whose range of application is much broader and is not restricted to curvature artifacts. This significant extension is necessary to correct multi-spectral retinal images.
