  • Abstract
The two most common arithmetic operations in digital signal processing besides addition are: multiplication of signal variables with a constant and sum-of-products. In this paper, the authors present a CMOS implementation of a flexible processing element that can be used both as a serial/parallel multiplier or in an implementation of distributed arithmetic. The circuit is intended to be used as a building block in ASIC for DSP applications. Single-phase logic is used to achieve a high clock frequency
