Abstract :
An ultrasonic gas flowmeter with high precision was designed for the situation of small tube caliber and fluctuating flow speed. Both weak signal detection and advanced high frequency CPLD circuit were used in this design. The flowmeter had the features of digital automatic gain control (AGC), adaptive error correction and high frequency counting. It worked in multiple MCU pipeline structure and provided several standard industrial output interfaces. The tests in industrial environment showed that its maximum measure range was plusmn30m/s and its precision was plusmn0.5%
