Abstract :
For QPSK-modulated OFDM system, the combination with an outer soft in/soft out (SISO) channel decoder allows to further improve the performance by means of iterative channel estimation and Turbo decoding. However, in order to avoid serious error propagation when the SNR (signal to noise ratio) is low, the weighted iterative estimation algorithm is proposed. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm improves the system performance dramatically compared with the conventional scheme.
