Abstract :
The design, fabrication, and experimental results of a 255-b SAW (surface acoustic wave) biphase coded tapped delay line-matched filter on ST-cut quartz are presented. It is found that the coded waveform amplitude distortion can be effectively eliminated using a stub matching method. The 255-b matched filters were designed with a center frequency of 65.28 MHz, chip rate of 8.16 Mb/s (0.123 μs tap spacing), waveform duration of 32.25 μs, and ratio of aperiodic autocorrelation peak to the largest sidelobe up to 20 dB
