Abstract :
Based on the analysis of mathematical model of the Brushless DC motor (BLDCM), a novel method for modeling and simulation of BLDCM is proposed in this paper. In MATLAB/Simulink, the isolated S-function modules, such as motor module, speed PI controller module, current hysteresis controller module, EMF generated module etc are modeled flexibly with S-function Builder. By the organic combination of these modules, the model of BLDCM control system can be established efficiently. The correctness and effectiveness of the modeling based on S-function Builder are verified through the experimental data and waveform. This novel method is also suitable for verifying the reasonability of other control algorithms and offers a new thinking for designing and debugging actual motors.
