Abstract :
This paper presents a novel control method for coordinate control systems in power plants by combining data mining techniques with predictive control strategy. The dynamic characteristics of a power plant are represented by some local models, which can be obtained by data mining. In particular, incorporating local modeling into predictive control, the approach for controlling boiler-turbine coordinate system in power plants is presented. Moreover, the procedures to implement the proposed method are summarized. Finally, simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness
