Abstract
Direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) can be used to measure distance, which is very useful in wireless sensor network (WSN) nodes localization. Especially for a WSN whose communication technique is based on DSSS, the localization method with DSSS owns the characters of low cost and self-dependence. This paper discusses the arithmetic of measuring the time difference when nodes communicate by DSSS, calculating the radiating time and the distance between nodes, and getting the position of nodes finally. The related protocol and system realization are also discussed
