Abstract :
The triangular wavelet (sinuquotient) is an improved wavelet-based pulse design for ultra wideband (UWB) system. This paper has discussed the application of UWB in the time-domain simulation. The frequency-domain and time-domain expressions of sinuquotient are very simple and are suit to time-domain simulation. It simplifies processing steps such as transfer functions and receiving waveforms. The commercial software XFDTD is used to simulate the transmitting function of two monopoles with this wavelet to verify the advantage of the sinuquotient in FDTD simulation.
