Abstract
Combined with the matrix expression of OFDM system, a joint channel estimation and detection algorithm for short Cyclic Prefix (CP) OFDM system is proposed. The proposed algorithm uses the predicted channel response and last detected data symbol provided by the WLMS algorithm to remove the interblock interference (IBI). At the same time, to reduce the complexity of the proposed algorithm, we present an iterative interference cancellation algorithm which eliminates the sub-carrier interference of short CP-OFDM system. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves its reliable channel estimation and data detection. Compared with long CP-OFDM systems, the system efficiency is improved and the system performance loss is little.
