  • Abstract
A novel high frequency hybrid distribution power system for telecommunication applications is presented in this paper. It consists of a high frequency inverter, AC/DC converter, and the power distribution system. The proposed hybrid system combines the advantages of both the constant voltage and constant current types high frequency distribution systems and have the advantages such as connector-less power transfer, fuse-less protection, sinusoidal voltage and current distribution and high overall system efficiency. The behaviour of the proposed system is described in detail and performance characteristics are presented. Finally the basic characteristics of the system are experimentally verified
