Abstract :
The saturation power level of three fundamental MSW (magnetostatic wave) modes is calculated theoretically on the basis of Suhl´s theory, assuming that magnetostatic waves can be approximately regarded as a uniform precession of magnetization. Simple formulas for estimating the threshold values of the saturation power level of MSW devices are derived. These formulas provide quantitative information on the saturation power level of MSW devices and facilitate a qualitative understanding of the nonlinear behavior of MSW devices. Numerical results are in good agreement with experimental data
