Abstract
Replacement of the native pulmonary valve (PV) with tissue engineered valves requires a thorough understanding of the function of the PV. We undertook the following study to quantify the biaxial mechanical behavior of the porcine PV and develop a structural constitutive model. To our knowledge, this is the first such model for the PV.
