Abstract
This paper analyzes the job search behaviors for the unemployed using Korean Labor Income Panel Study (KLIPS) data surveyed by Korea Labor Institute. For the study of the job search activity, the unemployment choice function was estimated using the logit model. The result showed that men rather than women, higher education group, and younger generation were more likely to be unemployed. According to the question, "What is the most difficult problems for them during the job searching period?", the most respondents answered, "There is no place to work and lack of opportunity for getting job." In addition, the relationship between the characteristics of them and the desired job was analyzed by the multinominal logit model.
