Abstract
A plant identification approach, which is oriented to controller design, is proposed based on a closed loop configuration where the controller design is performed iteratively. The criterion for the plant identification is based on accounting for the difference between the expected performance of the controller and the actual current values. Although the procedure is based on a linear functional model, such an approach does not limit the design of the controller and has applications over a wide domain. A case study is presented which demonstrates the effectiveness of the approach
