  • Abstract
    The present researches on fluid-solid interaction (FSI) problems are focused on numerical simulation. The popular method is arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian method (ALE). The theoretical studies on FSI have been developed slowly. In this paper, the deformation of an elastic thin plate in continuous lateral flow of fluid are given by using of unitized Lagrangian-Eulerian method (ULE) concerning on coupling theory. By an example, the theoretical and numerical solutions are compared, the credibility of theoretical solution is validated. The researches in this paper are the foundation for the subsequently theoretical calculation and numerical simulation. It is helpful to seeking the answer to the FSI problems and the numerical calculation in engineering.
