Abstract
The induction motor model passive decomposition scheme was presented. A novel controller scheme based on passivity output feedback equivalence was designed to achieve rotor speed and rotor flux norm tracking for the model of induction motor. The control scheme is based on a structural decomposition of the model into two passive subsystems, namely electrical and mechanical subsystem representing the fast and slow dynamics of the machine, respectively. The system was made passive only by means of output feedback, avoiding the sense of the rotor magnetic fluxes. A complete study was made on the strict passivity and global stability properties of the resultant closed-loop system. The system performance was also evaluated by simulation
