Abstract
Aiming at the application characteristics of vehicle integrated network, principles of protocol inn for system network and switch protocol module for device network were analyzed systematically. Based on the unique advantage of controller area network (CAN), two approaches originating from protocol inn and network bridge were proposed, which were suitable for vehicle network. Network definition, integrated design policies and network configuration models were explained respectively, and the integrated design policies containing network layout, bridge design, protocol inn design and application-layer protocol design were described specifically. Finally the two configuration models of vehicle integrated network were designed concretely. The approaches integrate practicable integrated technology in the field bus with onboard ECU and have been applied successfully in vehicle system
