Abstract :
In this paper the author presents SIS, a computer assisted seed identification system developed by the CSIR. SIS assists seed analysts to identify unknown seeds. SIS uses digital image processing as a front end to an expert system connected to a comprehensive database containing feature vectors describing previously trained seeds to identify unknown seeds
