Abstract :
Many side-channel attack methods for encryption circuits are being discussed, Such as simple power analysis (SPA), differential power analysis (DPA) and measure electromagnetic radiation to get the key. In order to protect a cryptographic algorithm against power analysis attacks. Many countermeasures are being discussed, point out unique masking method (UMM) can´t protect the first two rounds and the last two rounds from higher-order differential power analysis. A new improved unique masking method was first proposed. It use complement register structure for a DES circuit. The circuit can ensure a highly security with reasonable area and power consumption. The theory of UMM and experiments shows its efficiency.
