Abstract :
Theoretical study and computer simulation on Vavilov-Cherenkov radiation (VCR) in a Hermitian media (HM) with and without absorption are given in the paper. Analytical solutions of the VCR in HM have been obtained, based on which the phase velocity and Cherenkov phase cone, the group velocity and Cherenkov group cone and the radiation power have been found. The fine inner structure of VCR is studied and discussed in details as well.
