Abstract
A precision WR10 rectangular-waveguide is manufactured and investigated as phase standard for vector network analyzer (VNA) measurements in the frequency range 75-110 GHz. The waveguide width along the direction of propagation is measured by an air gauge system using a specially designed air probe. To verify the phase of the reflection coefficient of a calibrated VNA, the precision waveguide is terminated by a short. The measured phase, obtained for different waveguide VNA calibration algorithms, is compared with theoretically calculated results.
