Abstract :
According to the general eigenequation presented, the propagation characteristics of a circular dielectric waveguide filled with chiral media are investigated. The influences of chiralities in the core and the cladding on cutoff, dispersion and field distributions are discussed. Some novel features different from ordinary circular dielectric waveguides are shown.
