Abstract :
VoIP is defined by the International Telecommunications Union Standardization Sector (ITU-T), in its recommendation H.323, as a set of protocols for multimedia (video and voice) communication in IP networks. Implementing VoIP in data networks is known as convergence, which reduces infrastructure purchasing costs as well as allowing users mobility in accessing the data network: above all, it means a reduction in the number of telephone calls. Making use of open code to replace part of the equipment necessary for VoIP implementation (gatekeeper), and softphone, reduces the cost of this implementation
