Abstract
Preliminary results from research aimed at evaluating and modelling the harmonic distortion in a LV distribution network are presented in the paper. On the basis of measurements performed in northern Italy during a period ranging from fall 1996 to spring 1997, the investigation points out the role of residential customers in polluting the low-voltage network. The possibility of estimating both harmonic voltages and currents by regression of harmonic versus fundamental current amplitudes is discussed. Indeed results are, at present, insufficient to achieve this purpose, so that additional measurements have been planned by April 1998
