An HDTV VTR: analog recording with digital signal processing

Nowadays, magnetic recording and playback of video signals are routine operations in TV studios and production houses. For this reason, it is obvious that a medium so closely related to film as HDTV, cannot resign the possibilities of storing and post-processing TV signals. The HDTV VTR from BTS has been developed in the advanced development department of BTS on the basis of a standard studio machine, the well-known BCN 53. The tape deck has been modified and in many parts completely changed according to the new requirements of HDTV recording.
