  • Abstract
In view of the existing fuzziness of water types and grading standards in water assessment, the rough set theory and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method are combined and a water quality assessment model is constructed. This paper focuses on the construction process of the model and put forward an idea of using rough set theory to reduce attribute, that is to eliminate factors that is not important or irrelevant in water evaluation. The model is applied to Jia-lu River and the evaluation result is consistent with the adding notes scoring method´s which is recommended by the Environment Quality Standards for Surface Water. So the model is reliable and reasonable.
